monkeyboy
hey, i'm making a project in school with the renderer Brazil with a pure white building on grass. now the grass should give a little bit green on the walls, but not all the way up the building. just on the base of the building. is it possible to reduce color bleeding with the brazil renderer? If so, how is it done?
rivoli
there are several ways to control color bleeding in brazil, the most appropriate one may depend on your scene settings. i'd suggest you to wrap your grass material into a brazil utility mat and then control the amount of indirect energy emitted by the grass through the "generate" filter in the global illumination rollout. this may, or may not, be a good way to reduce color bleeding, but i also suggest you to have a look at this thread on the slputterfish forums: http://forums.splutterfish.com/viewtopic.php?t=3688&highlight=im+beginning+think even though it is not about exterior renderings i think you may find it very interesting and quite useful.
