vray proxies not picking new path when archived and opened in new PC

hi guys

 

i dont really know if this is a max question or a vray one but here it is.

 

i archived a max scene and moved it to another PC. now when i open the scene on the new PC my vray proxies are not picking the paths from the archive folder. they are still stuck with the older paths and i have to manually reassign new path to each proxy.

 

can anyone suggest what is the problem and how to deal with this.

 

i have also tried configuring bitmap paths to my archive folder but doesnt help

Sometimes the archive process doesn't work as expected, though it should as long as you unpacked everything correctly. How you unpack the archive is critical.

Just run the script and point everything to the new folders and it will relink everything for you.
