joelmcwilliam Posted August 13, 2013 Share Posted August 13, 2013 If you are using the tablet to actually draw freehand with it a lot you need the a4 size. You need the extra surface to make a good stroke with your pen. For anything else like modeling and retouching in photoshop a smaller size than a4 is fine. But not too small. With a smaller tablet you also have space to put a keyboard next to the tablet. If you have multiple monitors you also prefer a bigger tablet. Francisco Penaloza Posted August 13, 2013 Share Posted August 13, 2013 I have a medium size Wacom intuos, it is version 3 but still works great, the only thing is I rather use in Mouse mode instead of tablet, it feels more natural and it does not give me problems with 2 monitor setup. my 2 cents.
