ghostfeda
hi all . i'm a new vray user and as i was texturing a scene , i found that the rendered material diffuse is a way brighter than its preview in the material editor ... see the attachment image so is my scene is over-exposed or that's natural? btw i use 2.2 gamma correction and linear workflow
Scott Schroeder
The material preview is just a preview. It doesn't take into account your scene lighting, so if your sun is beating down on your grass it will be quite a bit lighter.

Corey Beaulieu
http://renderstuff.com/best-vray-settings-antialiasing-and-color-mapping-cg-tutorial/ under Color Mapping, this link can explain a little about what is going on, but essentially, the diffuse color will get brighter with LWF.
