spencerfitch
Hey whats up guys. I have apparently ran into an issue that just baffles me. I had my vray camera setup, its been working fine for the last couple of days. Ive been able to render out as much as I want no issues and its been great! Well i close out of maya 2012, run some errands, come back and re load maya with the scene and when I do a test render it builds the photon maps and caustic maps but it renders out a black image. Nothing more. There is nothing in front of the camera and none of the camera attributes have been changed from when it was working. Does anyone have any insight to this? Chris MacDonald
I've had cameras corrupt before, just create a copy of it and try rendering from the new one. If it doesn't work still, it's probably not a camera issue (given that you haven't changed any of its settings).

However if i create a new camera its fine as long as i input the same settings as the previous corrupted camera.
notamondayfan
You haven't ticked "don't render final image" by accident have you?
spencerfitch
You haven't ticked "don't render final image" by accident have you? Nope! One of the first things I checked. I just double and triple checked also. I have no clue what happened!
