Dave Buckley
With quite a few new events popping up and become increasingly popular - I was wondering if it would be possible to create a sticky with a ongoing user contributed list of events/workshops/conferences/awards and challenges that are currently active and can be deleted once they become inactive. Almost a calendar I guess but with strictly arch viz/architecture related stuff on it. Is this possible Jeff? A lot of the threads in this forum appear to be quite old and there is just so much stuff popping up all over the place, it's becoming hard to keep track of. You only have to look at the likes of State of Arts increasingly popular academy day, Flying Architecture's Symp.in event, CONAD over in Lima, Peru, Mundos and the CGA Awards right down to smaller exhibitions and workshops such as Visualising Atmospheres at The Building Centre in London. Also rendering challenges and competitions. So many times you only catch wind of a certain challenge right before it's too late to enter (CG Record, CG Society, Ronen Bekerman, Flying Architecture - to name a few). I used to find it easy to stay on top of this when I was hobbyist, but now I'm doing this stuff full time in a fast paced studio, it's becoming increasingly difficult. I'd love to be able to see everything in one place .... Thoughts anyone? Or maybe just start contributing to a list and see if it becomes worth while. I just thought a calendar might be more effective to stop people having to trawl through threads for something that might no longer be active? John Dollus
Great idea, Dave. Add the upcoming ASAI conference to that list: http://www.asai.org/Conference2013SanFranciscoProgram
