tofanrafati
Hello Everyone, First post, long time passive learner (aka lurker). I've hit a snag and could use some assistance. I have two specific problems: 1) I have this interior scene I've managed to do in the past. Since then, I've learned a couple of tricks, added a few objects, added a better resolution HDRI image, etc. and now the acid-etched window takes forever to render. I understand it's a complex object, but there has to be something to bring the final rendering time down while retaining the quality of the reflections of the glass. My settings are: Adaptive DMC .Min subdivs - 1 .Max subdivs - 4 Antialiasing filter .Catmull Rom ..Size - 1.4 DMC Sampler .Adaptive amount - .85 .Noise threshold - .01 .Min samples - 8 .Global subdivs mult - 1.0 GI - Irradiance Map then Light cache Irradiance Map .Min rate - minus 3 .Max rate - 0 .HSph. subdivs - 80 .Interp. samples - 100 .Clr thresh - .3 Light Cache .Subdivs - 1800 .Sample size - .02 .Scale - World .Numper of passes - 5 .Depth - 100 Caustics - off 2) A transverse cross-section and the lighting through the glass is too much (over-exposed?) . Again, I've managed to get it right in the past, but I don't know what setting I changed to make it like this. Any advice?
