photoshop sharped vs AA sharper filters

I like a sharp image and often use cook variable set to about 1.25/1.5

 

But I always struggle with noisy interior renders on STUPID high settings which take forever.

 

I've seen a lot of advice saying not to use AA filters and was wondering if such a filter produces more noise somehow, than if such a filter wasn't used but the image was sharpened after in photoshop?

 

As a bonus question, what would be a recommended filter to not produce blurry images (or is it ok to render blurry images and just sharpen after?)

I tend to disable filter in VRay, sharpen in post. I use a slight blur filter for animation.

Disabling filters gives you a look similar to the Mitchell-Netravali filter. I pretty much have it disabled all of the time.
