jackdicker
Morning guys, Im having an issue that I wouldn't usually get, and for some reason (I have no idea why) my pool water when rendered is just dark blue? My steps: uploaded my diffuse image created reflection & refraction created fog colour in refraction (very very pale blue) lowered colour correction to 0.1 uploaded transparent white layer in diffuse changed edge length in maps to 12.0 as its very close to the camera previewed the material in the vray material editor and its exacly what i want (colourwise). created displacement. 0.5 using same bitmap image as diffuse previewed again. perfect. turn caustics on. render using vray render buffer..... DARK HORRID BLUE??? Im using HDRI's but I have always used these and my pools have always worked...? am i forgetting something?? Thanks. M V
Sorry for this late response. I think your issue is using Fog. I wouldn't use fog with water honestly.
jackdicker
Hi, It was a very simple thing, my original face in sketchup was blue not white, so I reversed it and it worked perfectly. Jack
