bwilson
Hello All, I am rendering a quite large interior scene originally created as 7 XREFS then meged into one file for the radiosity calculation. Problem is everytime process the radiosity and save, when i reload the solution becomes invailidated everytime. Then frames render on the farm with the incomplete solution for lighting. Any thoughts? Specs: Max 5.1, 3p P4, 1G RAM, Scanline renderer, radiosity, phootmetric lights. Scene is 1.6 Million polygons.
abicalho
What do you mean the frames render with the incomplete solution? An invalid radiosity is not a problem for rendering, unless the mesh is different at render time. Different Viewport x Rendering values are a problem and are the main reason why Radiosity is invalid. bwilson
i think that is what is happening. Somehow the mesh is changing when i reload the scene. Looks great when i render the scene after the solution is created, but when i save, then reload i get a message that the solution is invalid, and it renders only the direct lights
abicalho
Did you merge/bind the Xrefs? If the objects are still Xrefs, they won't render correctly and things will not work. Alexander
bwilson
Hey Alex, I did as a matter of fact, checked all the XREF Objects and Scenes, all were clear... I wound up setting up multiple camera NetRenders immediatly after i generated the solution and got it to work just in time to meet the DL! Thanks for the help everyone.
