CliveG
OK I know absolutely nothing about compositing animations, but I need to bring together AO render pass with beauty pass for a fairly simple animation. I don't want to buy After-effects, though I'm prepared to do so down the track if I do much more of this animation stuff. For now, I was looking for freebie tools that could simply bring these two passes together like I do for stills in photoshop. I've seen mention of Blender for this, but understand that it seems a horrible interface to use. Any good suggestions for an interim tool that I can use until I'm ready to commit (& learn) After-effects?

Corey Beaulieu
Just use Photoshop. In the top right, where it likely says "Essentials"... this can be switched to Motion or Video and you will see a timeline appear at the bottom. You can then import your image sequences and comp them together like a still. It's not high power, but it's effective.
