fredbloggs
Although this a 3D Max question of sorts, it is mainly to do with the workflow from VectorWorks to 3d Max so i thought I would post in the general discussion section. I have the opportunity to join a company that currently uses a VW to C4D workflow for Architectural Visualisation. Although they link up quite nicely they are looking to change to a VW to 3D Max workflow, mainly due to the abundance of scripts, plugins, support, vray advancements (over c4d) and generally a much wider community. I currently use 3d Max myself so this is great for myself. A few points/questions: 1. I believe they are looking to create a "master" VW BIM model from which we would render in 3d Max. Does anyone have much experience with VW BIM models into 3d Max? Good? Problematic? 2. They also use apple Mac's throughout the office and want to run 3d Max through bootcamp. I tried 3-4 years ago and only managed to get a maximum of 80 gb partition although I initially tried at 500gb. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this generally a good workflow to run through bootcamp in a production environment? The office i currently work at run high-end PC's which are cheap to upgrade and easy adapt. If anyone could help with advice on the above points I would be most grateful.
