thanulee
Hi, I have a bitmap in my viewport for the environment so i can match some obejcts. I match the perspective, I create a Vraycamera out of it but 2 things go wrong: My viewport looks fine but my render is a. stretched and b. darker than it should appear. What am i missing here? i ll add screenshots to show u the issue. thanx

thanulee
Oh i found how color is ok by unticking "affect background" in color mapping. But i have to set my image to 1.0 instead of 2.2 so it looks fine. But about the distortion, i still cant figure it out
Nicolai Bongard
The output of your render has to be the same as the background picture you are using. In the last picture you posted, it seems your background picture is 800x600 pixels, so your render output should be the same, yet somehow you have set your render to some resolution that is far more "widescreen" than 800x600. What happens then is that your background picture, wich is set to screen, gets rescaled to fit your render output, and thus the background image and the other elements in your scene will not line up. So set your render output to the same resolution as your background picture, and be sure to hit shift + f to enable safe frames in your camera viewport. thanulee
Thanks mate. Ya i was wondering if i can have other output than the original picture ratio. But i guess is not possible. Then i realised, that there is almost never such need So i must always match my output with image.
