Recommended Posts

I was also recently researching this , and these are the ones that where recommended and had good reviews:

- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008JJLZ7G/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This one is more oriented to storage and being on 24/7. Very low energy consumption.

If it was just simple storage i would go with a Western Digital BLUE drive , but the largest capacity is only 1TB...

Personally, and for none technical reasons, i prefer Western Digital Drives. I find their models and website easy to understand and compare. And besides they have very good reviews, at least i have found them to be more consistent than Seagate reviews...

Take in mind that it depends where are you going to use it. Is it going to be a secondary HDD on your Workstation? Will it be used on a server or a NAS?, or will it be used as external storage using a dock or enclosure?
