zanderadrian
Hello, I was (re)reading the bbb3viz materialism page and I saw a detail that bothered me since. In the blend material there are the coat dup and blend dup slots. http://bertrand-benoit.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/FinalBlendMat.jpg I searched the vray forums, the official page and everything else and I couldn't find what this slots do. In bbb3vis' tutorial you can see the vraymtl going to the coat and the corresponding coat dup. I cannot assign it to the dup...I just get the list of all slots and I have to chose one. Seeing more making of's I have noticed that the dup slots are also filled. I did not find the dup thing in the compact material editor...so is is something related to the slate? Can someone please enlighten me? Thank you!
Nicolai Bongard
I am not sure what the dup slots do, but when you insert something in a coat or blend slot, the dup slot should get filled automatically.
zanderadrian
Mine doesn't get filled, that's the thing that bothers me. I have Vray 2.30.01 and I have noticed that happens only for the coat slots, blend are ok. It's not hugely important since there seem to be no parameters to the dups but it's something that makes me feel that things are not right )
Jez EMIN
Simple question ? Why don't you ask this question to the guys at VRay ?? (I need to know this answer too so I'm heading over there......)
