Guest calumreid
Hey all, So im going back for my honours year (4th year) in architectural technology. I should have done it last year but i took a year out because i just wasn't motivated for it. Iv lost interest in becoming a fully certified architectural technologist, i had a placement at a visualisation studio and realised that is what i want to do (also worked there during my year out from uni). So now im back at uni but i really don't feel any different. So after that explanation, do you think an honours degree is required in this field? Bear in mind that i have done my 3rd year so i already have a bachelors degree and a years experience in arch viz.
Scott Schroeder
Quite honestly, no. A bachelors and a kick-ass portfolio should be more than enough. That being said, some architecture places are sticklers when it comes to degrees. They want to treat the viz people like they treat the future architects and that just doesn't work.
