jasontranetzki
Can anyone recommend a good material shader for a lampshade? I've been experimenting with different types, either downloads (mostly sss materials) or from the wizards preset, but I just can't seem to make a realistic lamp shade material. The object itself has an emitter from the lights preset in maxwell studio. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..
kevinhirstius
I have been using the Washi Paper MXM for lampshades and it has worked out quite well for me. It's fairly easy to modify the color which pretty much makes it my standard fabric lampshade material. http://resources.maxwellrender.com/search.php#page=1&mode=1&id=2914&search=washi&v1=0&v2=0&tipo=
