thanulee
Hi, how could i export as element the vraylenseffect? I want to use it in post only and not to bake it in final image. Is there a way to do that? thanks
Nicolai Bongard
"Mode - determines if the bloom will be applied to the RGB image, stored in a separate render element, or both. Storing to a render element only works with the V-Ray VFB." From this site: http://help.chaosgroup.com/vray/help/200R1/vraylenseffects.htm
thanulee
Ye i know that. The thing is that it exists in VFB as element but not in the elements output + it bakes bloom in the image. So is there any way that i can export it as element only (not baked in the image and not only on VFB)? Imagine that im doing an animation and i want a sequence of that as an element for compositing. In VFB is completely useless for the reasons i explained. thanx
Nicolai Bongard
Ah, then i am not sure. But as for the baking, it should not do that if you only apply it as a seperate render element? I do not have much experience using it, so i do not know. If you do manage to seperate the bloom, so that it is not baked, you could try saving your image sequence as open exr files, and see if you can add it as an element there. Good luck! thanulee
Ye its kinda stupid. It bakes it anyways, and adds in VFB that element called "LensEffectsSource". Thus I cannot even apply this to a still image cause its like doubled. For animation that element is just not there in elements tab. Thanx for ur time mate
notamondayfan
The problem is the RGB / beauty pass is all the elements composited together, and can't tell vray not to include any of the passes. You have 2 options, either use render elements fully (break down the image to diffuse, lighting, gi, reflection, spec, refraction, effects) then you can control your effects pass. Or do 1 render with the effects disabled to get your clean RGB, then re-render for the effects pass. Dean
thanulee
Mate! Im completely idiot!! I just saw in the options "mode" which determines if u wanna bake the effect or have it as a pass!!!! These passes are not visible in elements tab but vray exports em separate from RGB calling em "Bloom" "vraylenseffects"! thanks alot for ur help consider this solved
