dusk1
I've been using Maxwell Render over the summer with Rhino. The reflections on materials is amazing but I was wondering if it is possible to create stronger shadows when rendering exterior perspective of buildings. For example, in the cube, the shadow is very light. Thanks!
Corey Beaulieu
I'm not a Maxwell user, but the general answer would be that it looks like your GI is over-powering your direct light and softening your shadows. If you want more contrasted or sharp shadows you can either do it in post or try to adjust the sky/sun relationship so that the sun is contributing more than the sky. Moreover, adjust things so your direct light is contributing more than your ambient light. This shadow softness though looks very normal to me. Interiors especially. I would personally elect to contrast them in post, but to each their own.
