Jeff Mottle
If you are talking about the tray at the top, they got rid of that in MAX 6.
MegaPixel
Archkre, I'm assuming you wouldn't be asking this question unless you received your copy of Version 7 allready? Are you a subscription member because I am and I still don't have mine yet. (Soobs)
ilmarinen
http://www.highend3d.com/3dsmax/plugins/?section=globalutility should work in max7 also
abicalho
Please, please, please read the readme. Do not use UIs from MAX 6 into 7. You'll lose access to tons of new features, and some may not work at all. MegaPixel, the Trial is available for download. You can install it and authorize it later when your subscription arrives. No need to uninstall and reinstall, just install the other modules (Maps, help, etc). Alexander Discreet QE
archkre
Alex: If you say it is not convinent to copy old UI's to Max 7,what is the right way to migrate my old interface,(toolbars,Icons, colors, etc) and not having to spend hours doing it from scratch? And what about the content of UI/Macroscriptsfrom Max 6, are they going to work over 7? And the scripts/startup ones? Thank you!
abicalho
Daniel, Unfortunately there's no easy solution to migrate the UI. You'll have to rebuild it. And if you had 3rd party scripts and plugins in R6 you'll have to add them manually to R7 too. Alexander
archkre
Do you mean that before incorporating any macroscript/script to Max7 we have to go to the originary sites of each one and look for a Max 7 version? And is it the same for all 3rd party plug-ins? Thanks
