sethfair
Do most architectural visualization artist manage their own personal library of 3d model assets like chairs, couches, tables, etc. from past projects or purchased 3d models? If so, how are you organizing it so that the model library becomes easily manageable? Finding models fast and not poking around folder to folder for long periods of time would be nice. Also, what are you doing when you need to share this with other team members? Are there any online options? What do you think of them? Thanks! Cjmcphail
We use this at work http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/project-manager Is amazing for quickly importing and merging models, lighting and materials etc.. from other jobs/project files and your library. sethfair
Thank you Chris. That plugin looks nice being able to manage it directly in 3ds Max. Are others team members able to access the library or is it just for a single computer? This plugin dosen't look like it has many search options, just folder structure. Are you working with a large model library and able to find things relatively quickly?
Cjmcphail
It is much like windows explorer. In terms of file structure etc. It does take a bit of time to set up but once you have its amaing. We have 3 guys all using the same system. and find it to be a huge time saver
