Sourpickles
Hey guys the Marketing company I work for has a TON of in house scripts to make their lives easier on things such as lighting, render settings, spanish tiles, ect... So now when I do my own stuff at home I feel like Im doing more work then I should haha I've been gathering a few scripts here in there over the past few months but curious if there were any great FREE ones that you cant live with out while creating your exterior or interior renders. So far I have floor gen, a spanish tile generator I just found but can't think of the name off hand. It also does fencing and other various architectural geometry and a book gen. I really wish I was allowed to take those work ones home, they have some great ones! so what do you all use that makes your life easier?
RyderSK
Not free, but super cheap: QuadChamfer. Something I can't do without, helps me put ton of chamfers on every single item with ease and leaving me with flexibility of further adjustments. Also QuadCap. And that's pretty much it, I like to keep my life rather simple than robust. I think most suggested plugins will be those by Neil Blevins and Blur studio but I haven't found much need for them for simple architectural needs. stuartkemp
QuadChamfer for sure, makes life so much easier. http://populate3d.com/products/terrain/ is another one which I find really useful. Creates nice clean meshes which are easy to edit. Good thread, looking forward to reading what other people use - hopefully we can unearth some lesser known gems! Sourpickles
I used a lot of Neils back in an older job and once an a while on my own. Blur not so much. Sourpickles
Obviously I make a lot of my sweeps using the outline of what ever Im provided by my CAD but this is also a nice little tool http://www.pluginfree.net/2013/11/download-sweeper-for-3dsmax.html This is the script I found through Facebook (CG Record is a good follow). It has S-tiles and caps as well as fencing and other tiles meshes. Used only for a few mins but makes the s-tile creation a breeze! http://www.pluginfree.net/2013/10/avizstudio-tools-atiles-201-for-3ds-max.html

Coolhand78
wow no ones mentioned Glue yet... that script was fantastic for the current project i'm working on where i had a tiled undulating surface... used floor generator to create the tiles and glue to attach them to surface... neil's soulburn scripts are great, i mostly use remove material, remove uvwmap, find instances, detach, attach... quadchamfer definitely is another frequently used one, as is floorgenerator by cg-source.
