Grompf
Softimage + Maxwell Hey, I am trying to mix 2 maps together and the only way that seems to work is to do it in ICE, save the result in a user data map or a weight map and use it in the material editor. There must be an easier way... right ? I could not get the 'toon mix' and #mix 2 colors' to work. Any suggestion ? Edit : I know it works with 2 bsdf or even 2 layers but I want to use this for displacement. And I cannot have 2 displacement maps with weights. numerobis
maxwell supports one displacement map per material. I think you're speaking about procedurals, which are not supported in maxwell at the moment (announced for maxwell v3 to be released later this month). So the only way to use procedural maps at the moment would be to render out a map. But as i said... only one displacement per material.
Grompf
Thanks. Yeah, I searched a bit more and there is absolutely no way. The problem was also that maxwell can't use softimage/maya/max nodes like blend, mix, lookups, etc. I went with no displacement and a procedural deformer in the end.
