landrvr1
Starting at around the 2:00 mark. I've been seeing a lot of this kind of illustrator/vector style animations for architecture, furniture, and interiors. It looks almost like SketchUp might be the main platform used but I'm just not certain. Anyone know what they might be using?
Fooch
in max : vraytoon lines.. (not much control over the lines) Then some comp work. loads of AE + illustrator cebas toon render does it too, illustrate 5.1 as well (was great years ago. not much dev after that) pencil+ (psoft) does it too. though i havent used it) A mix of layers and smart comp work will get you there. trancerobot
While I doubt they're using this, Blender now has the Freestyle renderer built in, which is capable of this and more.
landrvr1
Fooch, tnx. Hadn't thought about Cebas and Pencil+ was something I'd not heard of... Looking at the technique and comparing to the film, seems like Pencil+ might have been the plugin used.
