Pressing "R" doesn't cycle through scale modes on PC, but does on laptop.

As title, nothing really to worry about, but on my PC pressing "R" doesn't cycle through the scale modes, but on the laptop it does. I thought it was a bug with 2014, but perhaps it's some obscure setting somewhere I've accidentally pressed?

 

Anyone know what I've done?

Do you have your keyboard shortcuts override on? At the top of the Max menu, it looks like a key with an up arrow on it. Make sure that isn't on.

one other possibility one that occurs to me more then often when u accidentally press alt and shift at the same time it will switch your keyboard layout. Azerty to Qwerty. In that case you just have to press alt shift again.

Nope it's always off.

Never heard of that before, but again doesn't work.

You might need to go into Customize User Interface and reset the shortcut under the Keyboard tab. That'll show you which, if any, keys are mapped to that command at present.

Yea I checked that too. When I press R it goes to scale mode, but then if I press R again it does nothing.
