larsmosnes
Hi people. I'm about to map a terrain model im working on. (From Civil 3d to 3ds Max) My question is; How can i render out the whole landscape from top down and get it into photoshop to create the mask for the blend materials? And keep the right size of the map back into 3ds Max? I guess its more a question about the best workflow... Hope you understand what i mean:) Cheers!! Nicolai Bongard
Apply a flat uvw map, set it to planar, not real world size and press fit. Add a unwrap UVW modifier, press open uv editor. Press tools on the top menu, render uvw template, and set your desired size for your texture. Press render uv template, then save that image, and open in photoshop.
