ivanjay
So we just got a new renderbox, out first one. LOVING IT. However, still trying to get a feel for settings that produce good results in a good amount of time until we can add more nodes cost wise. First rendering is an exterior shot. I was shooting a final gather map file to save for the actual rendering at full resolution and settings somewhere between medium and high when looking at slider. It was taking way too long so I cancelled it this morning. I have heard mixed reviews about FG about half resolution. I saw it did save a FG map into my output folder even though I cancelled it so I am letting the rendering go hoping I get good enough results. Every strip is black, doesnt look like it is rendering it. Do I need to redo the final gathermap or even if I cancelled it half way through the data should be good? ivanjay
Figured it out. After 3 hours I am a DUMMY! I left skip final image checked so it was trying to do photon map and final gather which were already done when I baked it. Grrr brain freeze
