Any comments/crits to nudge me further along? This is my first interior just based on my own ideas and I don't really know what I'm going for, so speak your mind Thank you. alexanderbox
Hi, Jens! It looks like your materials are missing reflections, and there is no much contrast between light and shadow, your sunlight should be stronger, and shadows darker. It's my opinion, so feel free listen to it or not) Regards.
Ismael
A bit of post work only, http://www.sketchupartists.org/tutorials/sketchup-and-photoshop/sketchup-v-ray-image-post-processing-in-photoshop/
heni30
This is simply moving the Photoshop levels slider left. Of course you would make copies of the over-exposed areas and treat them differently.
ivanjay
I agree with the comments, basically the biggest issue I see is it feels like a gray rainy day and kind of depressing in this shot.... Yet there is some strong sunlight coming in. I think it is mostly exposure as stated. Give that floor some glossy reflection and let it pick up the light and glisten a bit... In the real world it would have some poly on it making it do that.
jensandersen
Thanks for the feedback guys, here is the current one (only edited org. one in photoshop). I might do a new render with some glossiness for the floor, but I kind of like it "untreated". I'm thinking of opening up the window side of the wall with a double door or something and "let the outside in" to get some balance in the composition. I feel like something is off with all the space in front of the window. Maybe just a bigger rug to pull focus towards the chair? - I suspect you put the lady at that spot for a reason George? Or just call it a day, put it in the portfolio and get started with something new
