Nkony Arch
I have a few splines and I want to create surfaces from them [like the blue one at the top right] Applying an EditPoly modifier seems to work only at the blue one, and even so there are some problems in the outcome geometry. Does anyone have any ideas on how to create the surfaces? Thank you in advance!
beestee
Here is the help file for the surface modifier that I would use in this situation: http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/15/ENU/3ds-Max-Help/index.html?url=files/GUID-1456D1B2-7B31-4894-AC2C-A2F60660C922.htm,topicNumber=d30e102492
Nkony Arch
Thank you Benjamin. I've tried to used that method. But even in the simplest spline of these four, the result...looks nothing to what i want it to be. If you have any other suggestions I would be glad to hear them [or perhaps something I am not doing well with crossection and surface].
Nkony Arch
OK! Problem solved. It seems I had to rearrange the first vertex of the splines to be opposite to one another. Select spline>vertex mode>select vertex>right click and make first
beestee
Yeah, it is a bit particular about the spline profiles having matching verticies and similar vertex numerical order. There is an option in "edit spline" to show vertex numbers that can help with this when dealing with complex spline networks.
