Hi

Thanks on your help

I have downloaded Para 3d and made some progress using Para3d and tutorial, but I really dont understand 50% of the things I do from that tutorial. The program looks good but it will take some time before i understand some basics.

Now my client wants squres vertical and not horizontal like it is in tutorial.

Any ideas.

You can also make a panel. Then you can make reference copies. Just make one larger surface out of the reference copies.

After this you can select the larger surface and add and series of modifiers to get you the form you want. Modifiers like Bend, Taper, or FFD can help form the larger model.

With this you can alter the the original panel to effect all reference panels and update the larger model.

This is a very heavy way of modelling, but once everything is in place you can just collapse the model and go about your render.

I doubt this is the best way to go, but its a native way at least.

Model it as a flat plane, convert to poly, then using the graphite topology tools you can create the angles. Extrude/bevel/meshsmooth(using various smoothign groups to crease the edges or add in supporting edges) as needed. Then apply various bend modifiers to shape it into what you need.

If you google "populate panels", you can download the Populate:Panels plugin for max, it has the shape of the panel buildt in as a preset. Just model the basic shape of your building, and make sure it is all quads. It will apply the panel to all the faces that are quads of your mesh, so make sure the quads are the desired size of your panels.
