hoseinasadi Posted January 15, 2014 Share Posted January 15, 2014 hey guyz, im trying to replicate a pencil texture with realistic reflections and all. im using max+vray , and here's what i got so far , what would be the best settings to get semi realistic material ? particularly fersnel and ref glossiness values. for image below im using fersnel value : 1.6 and ref glossiness : 0.75 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

andstef Posted January 21, 2014 Share Posted January 21, 2014 hi! try to compare to a real life photography, in a similar environment. also the environment in max needs to be close to e real life situation, if you take a picture of a reflective object in a completely white room, then there isn't much to reflect but white walls. you can test the material by rendering with a hdri of an interior. good luck Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
