ericgardiner
Hey guys. I'm looking for a good site to purchase some car models for renderings. I need a variety of cars (chevy, ford, BMW, and cadillac are the main ones). I've looked through turbosquid but am looking for any other options before I purchase some. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot.
Nicolai Bongard
Viz people have some cars for sale in a pack, also they offer some free ones so you can check out the quality. They come with vray materials set up.
beestee
This supplier has a very wide selection and at decent prices: http://humster3d.com/ Ordering more than one model at a time gives a discount, you can check in their support section for the rates. Have not used them yet personally, but I keep them in my favorites just in case.
Ernest Burden III
This supplierhttp://humster3d.com/... Hum, a 1970 AMC Gremlin. And old Russian cars. All too often I find the car models available are more about what someone thought would be fun to model rather than useful for their customers. My favorite finds have been a Chevy Caprice and Ford Crown Vic, since they become NYC cab and cop cars. And by 'quality' models, do you mean high-poly, ready for a car illustration? Those tend to be expensive, but good models. They also add a lot of weight to your scene models when you need a lot of cars. I really like lower-poly models. Most of mine are from formfonts.com The site is subscription so you can get many, many models for a very reasonable cost. While not high-poly, the models are well made and usually do well with 'smoothing'. But if you want fancy materials you'll be making your own shaders. ericgardiner
Thanks for the suggestions guys. By quality I just meant accurate models with good topology. I ended up buying some from humster3d. Opened a couple in max to check them out. Very pleased with the quality for the price.
