Hey, Robert! Nice to 'see' you!

I recall seeing some company having an Oakland model a few years ago, will have to hit the wayback machine to try to recall who, maybe I bookmarked them. There are a few models floating around that are rips from the defunct Microsoft VirtualEarth project, those are slightly better than the Google ones but of a similar standard. Those are OK for backgrounds. Are you working digitally now, or still by hand?

Hi Travis,

The helicopter route is on the table. This would be for many projects over time though so no exact vantage points, kinda want total flexibility. I had been meaning to ask you guys, your San Francisco aerial work, all footage you filmed and then matched the modeling in? It would be great to sit down with your office when you get a breather.

Yes, all footage that has been filmed and matched by our team. We use a few different resources in the area for flights and filming, and then do the matches with Syntheyes.

By all means you are more than welcome to drop by. Drop me a line next time you are in the city/neighborhood.

Travis have you ever used Boujou? I ask because when I tried to use Syntheyes I could never get anything good out of it, once I switched to Boujou I was very successful. I'm just asking out of curiosity, did you find it difficult to learn and use?
