Francisco Penaloza
everything depend how you are exporting the trees, check your file, and if you are exporting the textures too. Also when inside of 3DsMax check all the textures path if they are reading correctly, if there is textures missing they will render black.
Guest ronalle
vray fbx import comes with speedtree 6.2.3 try.... Exporting as FBX -import using the speedtree fbx maxscript, there is a vray import option (check speedtree help for info on how to use the script) after import..hit render (don't convert to proxy) if that doesn't work.......speedtree create a mix map in the diffuse slot with a texture and a vertex map or RGB map (not sure which) -copy the texture map and paste it in the diffuse slot (straight ,no mix mapping) -render..... hope these help,i cant access max now to confirm........ edit, make sure 3dsmax is seeing the images Edited January 20, 2014 by ronalle addition
Graphite
I always export to OBJ's then just recreated the material in vray using a multi sub. Works like a charm.
