jamisonlb
Im putting some curbs around a parking lot and have done this many times and for some reason im just missing something mapping the curb with a material. The way i usually do it is to sweep the spline using a custom shape and then within the sweep checking [gen mapping coords] and [real worldmap size]. for some reason only about the first tile seems to be working correctly and as the curb moves alone it gets jagged and as it turns the first corner its almost at a 45. Am i missing something here. EDIT [ive done more testing and found that if i sweep two lines one that is a 90 degree and one that is filleted with all the sweep commands the same the desired effect only happens on the filleted sweep and not on the 90 degree sweep. Something i believe needs to happen with properties of the vert. at the corner or something?? Puzzled ?? any help in solving this would be great! Cheers Edited January 22, 2014 by jman56
Chris MacDonald
That's just the way it is I think. I've managed to mitigate (though not overcome) this issue by adding extra vertices as close to the corners as possible.
Scott Dombrowski
Same problem here. Adding vertices near the corners straightens things out.
Zdravko Barisic
Did you try RESET XFORM on the basic shape?
cg_Butler
Adding vertices close to the corners helps, you can further improve it by adding more segments along the straight edges by dividing them.
