Matt McDonald
Hello all I am trying to use the vector map type found in Max 2014 with Mental Ray & Backburner. I have saved out an AI to the network drive (where all of our other maps are) and when I render locally there is no problem. When I submit to Backburner I get the following error: 3dsmax adapter error: Autodesk 3dsMaxDesign 16.3 reported error: PNG (c:\users\matt.mcdonald\documents\3dsMaxDesign\sce neassets\images\vectormap_mentalray_cache\vectorma p_001.png) the system cannot find the file specificied But when I look for the missing file on my computer there is no file there. Additionally, there is no file listed in Asset Tracker. I tried changing my images user paths to a network drive, reachable by all computers with no luck. Additionally, I created a PNG named "vectormap_001.png) and placed it in a network location (where we keep the rest of our maps) and that didn't work either. Does anyone have any suggestions? I appreciate the help. Matt

Matt McDonald
I did. It's a pain but the first thing I did was to make a folder on my network drive called "vectormap_mentalray_cache" I thought I had to change something in my 3dsmax.ini file, but looking at it now I don't see the change.
