erkutacar
this is rendered with default settings, with no reflection, no specular nor bump map and with plain color diffuse map.. what could be the problem? (car is an imported free model and i just applied car paint) oh and it doesn't do that in iray
erkutacar
oh come on, no one knows what this is?
Scott Dombrowski
Are you using distributed bucket rendering? I had a similar issue with DBR and using Skylight Illumination from IBL in the Global Illumination tab of the Render Setup dialog. That was in v2014, but one of the newer updates fixed that. If you're using DBR, try a rendering without it to see if that clears it up.
erkutacar
no im using 2013 with default mr settings with mrsun and mrphysicalsky
Scott Dombrowski
I'm just guessing at this point, but other things to check: Possibly it's using a saved FG file from another camera angle? Maybe there's something going on with the geometry of the road... what happens if you give everything a plain grey material?
erkutacar
plain grey mat works fine, any mat works fine and the texture works fine in iray.. no there r no saved fgs.. the geometry is very simple. its the first time ive had such a stupid problem
Nicolai Bongard
Perhaps there are double up with geometry. If the road is an editable poly object, drag and select over where you should only have 1 poly (the road), if you get 2 or more, that could be your problem. Also try it without being in the poly mode, to see if you have a seperate element in the same place.
erkutacar
no there r no overlapping polys
erkutacar
i figured it out, daylight system sky model was set to CIE, i changed it and there is no more problem.. but i still dont understand why it would cause such a stupid problem.. btw perez all weather causes the same problem.. haze driven works fine
