aminkermanshahi Posted February 8, 2014 Share Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) i have a scene in max whit many objects vray and standard materials are included most of them have reflection map bitmap and rglossines map and enviroment map (hdri) i have 2 multiscatter for my bushes (standard bitmap and alpha map).. 1 for street lights (object has 2 material vray and light material) another one for my street i have around 150 omni light instanced for those st.lights (manualy):vray shadow subdivs:10 and 4 vray plane light subdivs:25 and 1 vray sun shadow subdiv:10 and not to much change in materials like interpolations and high subdivs in materials 1_reflections :16 2_refractions: 8 this picture is for a low res render i had another setup in vray renderer (will be final): irr.map :high and light cache:1500 subdivs and 4000 * 2200 pixel shot --> after about 10 hour it was in 2nd pass of irr.map (and I stopped that) i had some successfull render and some of obj was not there like 150 omni lights !!! i dont know what i should do !? need some help to make this scene Renderable !! .6 gig ram Edited February 8, 2014 by aminkermanshahi Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
marius e Posted February 8, 2014 Share Posted February 8, 2014 I dont think its such a detailed scene at all, I can only assume that the models are all over modeled.....150 lights, also overkill for that scene. Fix your modeling to fewer poly count. I cant help on the vray side, but suspect that modeling is to blame... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
aminkermanshahi Posted February 8, 2014 Author Share Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) i dont think 2 million polygons is too much ! but 150 light yesssss i wont didnt delete lights did set omni subdivs to 4 and made a far attention and it helped !
