toadindia
Hello Every one! I need some assistance in 3d rendering. I can see there are some amazingly talented people here and I hope someone could help me. I have attached 2 images from ever motion library for reference purpose to explain my question. One image is an actual render while the other one is wire frame render of the same. For draft presentation purposes, I find the wire frame version more beautiful than the actual render. I am newbie in rendering but with whatever knowledge I have, I can do decent realistic renders using 3dsmax and Vray. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT SETTINGS SHOULD I USE IN VRAY OR 3DS MAX SO THAT THE ENTIRE SCENE WILL BE RENDERED INTO WIREFRAME AND NOT ACTUAL. Thanks in advance and forgive me if my query is too juvenile.
toadindia
Hello after posting this question I discovered a tutorial on youtube. I think this is pretty good way to do it. This solves the purpose but just for education purpose please let me know if there is another solution to it as well. Thanks!
cg_Butler
If it were me I'd create a VRaymtl and add a vray color in to the opacity slot. Make it mid grey to begin with. This will make all your objects transparent, but not refractive. Then add a VRayEdgesTex to the diffuse slot and make that whatever colour you want the lines to be. Then in the Global Switches of VRay put this material in to your override slot and render. Then go back and adjust the material until you are happy with the look. himanshuchoudhary
You could simply add vraytoon effect under the environment anf effects slot (shortcut key - 8 ) Change the color of the line to your preference, and have some opacity to the override material. toadindia
Hey Thanks Andy! That is Genius.. What I will be doing now is keeping the structure/room as opaque and the furniture as slightly translucent! Will post screen shots soon.. Cheers Mate..
