vertical tilt

I'm just getting started on an interior kitchen and hoping someone can help me understand how to compensate for vertical tilt making my 3' wide refrigerator appear to be 5' wide.

Using guess vert and guess horizontal seems to make some things worse.

What is the procedure for getting everything to appear proportionally correct?

Vertical tilt doesn't affect proportions much, but corrects leaning verticals into parallel. Horizontal tilt should rarely be used as it creates quite unusual bizzare perspective unless in miniscule amount.

 

Your proportions of width are off because you are using extremely wide lenses, I presume something like 14mm. Use atleast 18-24mm and get the scope using different technique like clipping planes and positioning your camera behind a wall.

 

You've been modelling this kitchen for quite long and I don't think it's in you current power to make it look good, it's simply too much effort to learn step by step by oneself.

 

Have you thought of following some video tutorial instead ? For example something like this ?

http://viscorbel.com/shop/kitchen-deluxe/ It's pretty much overkill as it teaches how to model every little prop in the scene which is something you might never use, but even if one hour out of that video is whats shows you how to make it, than it could be useful.
