LaBelette
in gimp or illustrator, I export a bitmap with a RGB of 186-46-33 Then, in max I create another material with the same RGB values, but in the viewport, they look quiet different. Any idea what could be the reason? thanks
Nicolai Bongard
Gamma would be my best guess. If you are using vray, try to add a vray color in your diffuse channel and enter the RGB value there.
RyderSK
255*((old/255)^2.2) This is the formula to convert your value to gamma corrected Credit and explanation : MintViz
