Paint Brush using Hair and Fur

is there anyone who could guide me thru to replicate paint brush hair like the samples in the picture? how do i replicate the overall shape? any tips guyz ?

i don't know if the best way to achieve this is using hair and fur.

maybe you could just model the brush tip and use textures to create a hair like effect.

that technique would be fine as far as it's not a close up. for close up shots tho it looks pretty much fake.
