Video animation render just stopped?

Hi guys,

 

I have been running off a video animation today and after about 55 frames in, my next render frame came out black and then just stopped...

 

Does anyone have any ideas? I have tried to enclose a photo of this issue..

might be running out of ram..

mm OK, you believe this to be a ram issue with sketchup itself? I first thought I had run out of space on my hard drives but I have about 10gb left in space..

 

Maybe I will try to render the video output in EXR preview mode to save RAM. Anyone else have any Ideas? I will let you all know how I get on with rendering the animation in preview mode EXR.

if you have 10g space left on hdd then its like not having any space left, your hdd is full.............I also dont thing exr saves space its a bigger file output. jpeg is best

Yes OK, I shall see the file size comparison, I have 2x 1tb hard drives and a 256gb SSD, its the SSD that is almost full so I may switch the save path to one of the HDD's.

 

I think you are right JPEG is smaller but I think maybe if its the ram that is an issue then running at preview EXR will help this in some way. If I have memory space then running the render through EXR preview should allow me some more ram usage right?

OK guys,

 

Just an update,

 

My video has managed to finish the 125 frames this weekend. I purged the model, changed the directory to my HDD rather than my SSD and it seems to have worked!

 

 

First ever video animation complete!
