Michael J. Brown
Every time I do an inner-office move (which just happened again this morning), certain of my 3dsMax(Design 2014) settings revert back to factory. - The 'New Features' dialog pops up upon starting a new session - My custom Modifier button set is neither displayed nor present - All User Paths have reverted back to factory There may be one or two other things I'm leaving out, but I am just a bit stomped as to WHY these things keep resetting. Can anyone shine some light on this?
Scott Schroeder
Does your computer name change during this move? It could be due to your user directory the one in users/name/appdata/local/etc is changing enough for max to think it's a whole fresh new install. Devin Johnston
Some of the settings Max creates are stored in the user profile , maybe your user profile is being changed or cleaned out when you move and that information is being lost. IDK just a thought.
notamondayfan
Might be worth looking at the Windows user settings. I seem to remember in older versions of Max I had to "run as administrator" to get around a similar problem, but 2014 is fine for me. Dean
