antwoinegilbert
Hello I am having a problem with my 3ds max scene and was wondering if anyone could lend a hand. I have modeled a scene in revit and imported it into max. The storefront windows have a revit material on them and it renders fine. But when I set the window panes to a vray glass material bright light comes out from the windows and destroys my scene.
paneli
I've seen a similar issue on the forum with non-legit versions of Vray. Consider that might be a problem.
Dimitris Tolios
Transparent/Translucent materials with refraction layers, need thickness to be calculated by the rendering engine properly. Make sure your glass panes have thickness (few mm or 1/4" is enough, anything but zero thickness planes/surfaces).
Francisco Penaloza
VRay is not compatible with "Autodesk Materials" different of Arch & Design Materials, or pro materials. Latest REVIT release only use Autodesk Materials, so you need to convert those materials to VRay materials. It is not the glass or transparency issue. Not sure if crack version will have this problem, but valid point too.
