stayinwonderland
Just bought a new computer and I'm using a GTX 660, 16gb ram. trying to work my way round a scene and it's becoming impossible. I have 4 viewports, top left and bottom right are camera and I use the top left for Vray RT. Bot left is the perspective and if I try to fly around that or move anything there's a 3 second delay and I'm getting way less than 1fps. Full screen the perspective view and I get between 30-70fps. Scene has like 300k polys. What the hell's going on?? :/
Josef Wienerroither
Well - VrayRT and viewports fight for GPU i would suspect. Turn VrayRT to use CPU only ( i guess this is possible ) and things should improve. But realtime rendering sure still has an effect on performance And by saying "fly arround" - do you mean playing the timeline or orbiting the scene ? stayinwonderland
Nah, this happens whether Vray RT is activated or not. Fly around - I just mean rotate/navigate.
stayinwonderland
Hmmm, I just restarted Windows 8 and also noticed that nVidia had a driver update, so thought I'd give that a whirl and it's fine now. Thank god, coz my scene was pretty much dead!
