marius e
I dont use vray, but it seems like a material issue....do you have noise on set on it? Need to be smaller...only thing I can think of.

Zdravko Barisic
http://vray-materials.de/ ..... your best friend, I do not know if they store Vrmats for SU, but probably there is some similar source for VR/SU. ... Maybe you have some bump noise map with wrong UWV? too big...
jackdicker
No, I make most of my materials myself, the sofa material is just a grey colour, no layers, just solid grey. The issue is its all over my image. I have since tried different colour maps: it seems when linear multiply is on it appears worse than say, exponential, Im thinking its to do with part of my light set up or GI but I just don't get it. One moment it was fine the next it was blotchy. All my settings are in screen shots above if your curious. Thank guys.
Ismael
What lights are you using with their description and where are they located? Look at the bottom here: http://help.chaosgroup.com/vray/help/150SP1/troubleshooting.htm#splotches
jackdicker
Excellent! I'll have a fiddle, I think I'm almost there to be honest. It seems that the ceiling lights (emissive) were just too bright, once I reduced the power of the emissive layer things began to clear up. I'll get up a final shot soon as I can. Thanks guys
Ismael
Good luck. Here are some other useful links. Do check the first where one of our members here commented on using 'emissive' materials as 'main' lighting. http://forums.cgarchitect.com/73927-vray-sketchup-emissive-materials-problem.html http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=322 http://www.thecgschool.com/free-resources/ http://renderstuff.com/free-rendering-cg-tutorials/
