heni30
This one client is always squawking about wanting things photo realistic. Here's the latest about to go out. Anything you see that could use more attention PR-wise? (I know I need to extend the floor on the right) Edited March 28, 2014 by heni30
Chris MacDonald
It does somehow look flat, like a stage-set. The shadows beneath the people aren't very convincing at all, and the lighting of everything seems very diffuse, as if it's lit by one big dome light, or something, plus there is no variation in lighting colour. A blue 6500k light from the outside on the right, and some warm 4000k lights on the interior would make a big difference. The sign looks like it's been photoshopped on. Is it? The glow around it looks like photoshops "outer glow" blending option. None of the materials appear to have any kind of fresnel falloff, it all looks a bit plastic? alexanderbong
aesthetically, i think you are missing a focal point. there is too much clashing colours. detailing wise, you could: add some sort of concrete displacement to that white wall. add some ceiling details like lights or vents. more reflection on glass shaders. aren't you worried that your client is going to snoop around here and see this O.O? himanshuchoudhary
The quality of the logo looks quite fake to me.. Also, the outside looks very flat, the depth on the ceiling is completely missing... It basically, looks more like a 2d graphic.. there is no ambient occlusion visible anywhere
M V
Depends who you are asking. I bet you client would think it is.
heni30
Yeah, there has to be a balance between a perfect rendering and making money. The exterior looks flat because the white header and the ceiling are flat tones. The client and the airport just want to see what's below. I agree about the lighting. The whole front food line should be brightly lit since it's the most important part of the cafe. The back has light scallops with lights and darks and the food line just falls flat. Food cases would have lights inside. Sign is photoshop-ed pending approval. It's funny because real fast food airport eateries are a trainwreck visually.
