masterchief1
Hi, I'm new to the forum and to arquitecture as well. I been using autocad without a problem and managed pretty decent results. Hope you can help me: Decidedto learn to render so I went for Vray 2.0 for Rhino 5 but I can't get any results! I'm so desperate I even tried with sketchup 2014 (downloaded the plugin for both respectively) but it happens exactly the same, here it is: 1 create a box 2 create a new material 3 import material (.vismat) 4 apply to selection 5 render And what happens both in sketchup and in rhino: no texture. it appears as a white or gray box with no texture whatsoever. Frankly I don't know what to do and since you guys have more experience on this I thought I'd ask. Thanks!
ryannelson
Could be a few things.. Scale of your object and texture? You have to adjust how the texture gets mapped onto an object. Make sure vray isn't overriding materials - Global Switches - Override materials (uncheck it) Is your material rendering properly in the preview? The mapping links might be messed up if you aren't organized - check the paths and locations of the maps. Try using some visopt presets from the chaosgroup website or flyingarchitecture.
