flarchitect
Whenever I sent my .dwg file to the plotter, I usually get only about 1/3 of the lines plotted on the first pass. The plotter then still has the job in the que (insert paper is still flashing after the first plot). I then re insert the paper and it finishes the job. I am plotting across a simple network through a hub. The network has 3 computers. I am running XP and the plotter is a Designjet 250c. I have tried the option of sending job directly to printer with no luck. Any suggestions will help! thanks.

If Autocad or LT there are many toggles for plotting, and most are just as cryptic as everything else in ACAD. plot to a different printer as a test, plot to a file or a PDF, check scale, check to see if your layers are frozen (does that make them not plot?) see if you have a pen table that makes certain colors not plot... call tech support
xgarcia
Is this a pen plotter? I'm not sure about this but maybe it's a RAM issues on the plotter - sounds like an older HP designjet. Call tech support or visit the HP support forums (they aren't that bad). Other than that I wouldn't know where to begin. In the office we use two 5500c designjets - which is about 4 or 5 generations past the one you mention. Best of luck. flarchitect
I just left Gainesville. Lived there for 9 years. The plotter uses ink cartridges. It has 20mb of ram as well. Thanks for the suggestions.
xgarcia
Hmm....might be ram issues. Dunno what else it could be. Gainesville grows on you after a while. You gotta love the 24/7 pizza delivery though. Back at my home twon all the places close down by 10-11pm! Xavier
